Introduction
A Day in the Life of an Urban Student
This interactive experience follows one student through a single school day shaped by exhaustion, instability, adult assumptions, school systems, peer pressure, and survival decisions.
The purpose is not to judge the student’s choices in isolation, but to examine the chain of events, missed opportunities, and adult responses that shape what happens next.
How it works
- Read each scene carefully.
- Make choices when prompted.
- Watch how stress, sleep, time pressure, and care connection shift throughout the day.
- Use the reflection sections to think like an educator, leader, or support professional.
- The experience is intentionally uncomfortable because many students carry invisible burdens into school every day.
